◆ Posted a .993 fielding percentage in 2021 with the Pirates, the second-best ever by a National League shortstop
(Rey Ordoñez, .994 in 1999) and the highest in baseball by a player at that position since Orioles Mike Bordick
established the Major League record in 2002 (.998)…Finished as a Gold Glove finalist at shortstop.
◆ In 2021, became the first Pirates shortstop to lead the National League in fielding percentage since Jay Bell in
1996 (.986)…Did not commit an error until July 6; 76-game errorless streak was the longest ever by a Pirates
shortstop in a single season and the second-longest streak to open a season by any shortstop in Major League
