ANGELS OVERALL: The 2024 Angels completed their 64th MLB campaign with an 63-99 (.389) mark, in fifth place
in the A.L. West (-25.5)...Club was 14-35-3 in 52 series...Halos were 32-49 at home and 31-50 on road...Angels
were 21-31 vs. A.L. West, 10-22 vs. A.L. Central, 10-22 vs. A.L. East, and 22-24 in Interleague play...Club went on a
season-high six-game win streak from June 24-29 and the longest losing streak was seven games from Aug. 21-28...
Finished under .500 for a ninth consecutive season...The 63-99 record on the year set a franchise record for losses
in a single season (previous mark was 95 losses during the 1968 and 1980 seasons).
TEAM MVP: Zach Neto was selected by his teammates as the Angels Most Valuable Player...The Angels MVP is
awarded by vote of the players to the Angel who most truly exemplifies the qualities of inspirational leadership,

sportsmanship and professional ability...He was the fifth Angels player to be named Team MVP at age-23 or
younger, along with Jim Fregosi, Jerry Remy, Jim Abbott and Mike Trout.
NICK ADENHART AWARD: The Nick Adenhart Award, annually voted on by Angels players, goes to the top pitching
performer for the season...2024 recipient was Tyler Anderson, who was selected to his second career All-Star
Game and led the Angels pitching staff with 10 wins, 179.1 innings pitched and 142 strikeouts...He became the
third Angels left-hander to win the Nick Adenhart Award, joining C.J. Wilson (2013) and Andrew Heaney (2018).
ELITE COMPANY: Zach Neto compiled 34 doubles, 23 home runs and
30 stolen bases on the season...The only other A.L. players to reach MOST SINGLE-SEASON HOME RUNS
those totals in a season by age-23 are: Jose Canseco (1988), Alex AS AN ANGELS SHORTSTOP
Rodriguez (1998), Mike Trout (2013) and Julio Rodriguez (2023)...Neto
was the first infielder in Angels history to have 20+ HR and 30+ SB in Rank Player Year HR
a season and also joins Trout as the only Angels to have a 20 HR/30 SB 1. Zach Neto 2024 23
season by age-23 (or younger).

Zach Neto set a new single season Angels record for home runs as
a shortstop...Previous mark belonged to Jim Fregosi (20 HR as a 4. Jim Fregosi 1965 15
shortstop in 1970).
THE MANAGER: Ron Washington completed his ninth season as a Major League manager in 2024 and his first with
the Angels...He previously served as the Texas Rangers manager from 2007-14.
BATTING LEADER: Entering play on July 2, Luis Rengifo led the Majors with a .317 (77/243) batting average...
He was the first Angels player to lead MLB in batting average that late in a season since Rod Carew had a .372
(132/355) average on Aug. 12, 1983 (ELIAS).
‘PEN PALS: Over an 89-game stretch from June 17 – Sept. 27, Angels relievers led the Majors with a 2.69 ERA (344
IP – 103 ER).
