HISTORICAL SERIES: During the Angels series at New York (A.L.) from 2024 PITCHING LEADERS
Aug. 7-8, Zach Neto batted .538 (7/13) with two doubles, two HR and
nine RBI...He joined Prince Fielder (May 22-24, 2015 for Texas) as the
only visitors with 7+ hits and 9+ RBI in a three-game series at the new WINS 10 Anderson
Yankee Stadium...On Aug. 7, he matched the Angels record for RBI in a GAMES 72 Strickland
doubleheader with eight across the twinbill, highlighted by homers in STARTS 31 (tie) Canning &
both games...With a career-high six RBI in the nightcap - including his first Anderson
career grand slam - became the first ever visiting shortstop with 6+ RBI in

MATTY THAISS: On July 30 vs. Colorado, Matt Thaiss became the first WHIP 1.29 Anderson
player in Angels history with 5+ RBI and 2+ stolen bases in the same SAVES 20 Estévez
game…He was also the second catcher in Major League history with 5+
RBI and 2+ SB in a game, joining Hall of Famer Mickey Cochrane for the Tigers on Aug. 9, 1934 vs. St. Louis Browns.
THE ITALIAN: A native of Verona, Italy, Sam Aldegheri became the first pitcher born and raised in Italy to play in
the Majors when he made his Major League debut with the Angels on Aug. 30 vs. Seattle...Overall, he was the fifth
Italian-born MLB pitcher and first since Cleveland’s Marino Pieretti in 1950, but each of the previous four Italian-
born pitchers moved to the United States in their childhoods.
MULTI-HR DUO: Jo Adell and Mickey Moniak both hit two home runs on Aug. 31 vs. Seattle...It marked the first time
the Angels had two players with multiple home runs in the same game since Aug. 19, 2017 vs. Baltimore (Mike Trout
& Luis Valbuena) and the first time two Halos outfielders each had multi-HR games together since June 4, 2003 by
Garret Anderson and Jeff DaVanon at Montreal (in Puerto Rico).
