DAMN, DANIEL!: On June 27 vs. Detroit, Davis Daniel made his first career MLB start and became the first pitcher
to toss 8+ scoreless innings with 8+ strikeouts in his first career start since Colorado’s Jason Jennings in 2001...He
was the fourth pitcher since 1901 with 8+ scoreless IP, 8+ strikeouts and zero walks in his first MLB start, joining
George McQuillan (1907 Phillies), Russ Ford (1910 Yankees) and Ron Herbel (1964 Giants).
RELIEVER OF THE MONTH: Carlos Estévez was named A.L. Reliever of the Month for June...He was the first
Angels pitcher to receive the honors since Raisel Iglesias in July 2021..He worked 10.0 scoreless innings across 10
appearances in June, going 1-0 with eight saves...Estévez had a streak of retiring 26 consecutive batters faced from
May 28 - June 25, which tied with Iglesias (2021) for the second-longest by a reliever in franchise history, trailing
only a 27-batter streak by Hansel Robles in 2019 (ELIAS).
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Kevin Pillar batted .354 (35/99) with 14 XBH and 24 RBI through his first 29 games with the
Angels from May 1 - June 14...He had a career-high 14-game hit streak from May 11 - June 1...The 24 RBI tied for
sixth-most in Angels history through a player’s first 29 games with the team.
MILESTONE MAN: Kevin Pillar reached several career milestones during his first month in an Angels uniform...He
reached 100 career stolen bases on May 15 vs. St. Louis...On May 19 at Texas, he recorded the 1,000th hit of his

history (Halos used 66 different players in 2022 & 2023)...Additionally, Angels used 40 different pitchers in 2024,
which equaled the Club record from 2021.
GOING GLOBAL: Over the course of the 2024 season, the Angels used players from eight different countries and
territories: United States (45 players), Dominican Republic (8), Venezuela (5), Colombia (2), Canada (1), Cuba (1),
Italy (1) and Puerto Rico (1).
OPENING DAY STAPLE: With his start on Opening Day in Baltimore, Mike Trout became the third player in Angels
history to make 12+ Opening Day starts, joining Garret Anderson (14) and Tim Salmon (13)...Trout established a
new franchise record with 12 consecutive Opening Day starts at one position; Salmon made 11 straight Opening
Day starts in right field from 1993-2003.
DEFENSIVE HONORS: Jo Adell was named Defensive Player of the Month for May by Sports Info Solutions...He led
all players with nine Defensive Runs Saved and his five Good Fielding Plays for the month ranked second among
right fielders to Starling Marte’s eight...Zach Neto led MLB shortstops with seven Defensive Runs Saved for the
month of June...Kevin Pillar’s diving catch on Aug. 3 vs. New York Mets robbed Francisco Lindor of a leadoff hit to
earn MLB “Electric Play of the Week” honors for the second time in 2024 (also robbed home run on July 4 at OAK).
