2025 TEMPE DIABLO RENOVATIONS
Through the combined efforts
of the Angels and the City of Tempe,
the Tempe Diablo Spring Training site
underwent major renovations during
the 2024-25 offseason to improve
team experiences and performance.
In February 2025, the Angels debuted
the newly renovated and expanded
Player Development Center.
The updated facility features
a new Performance Center, Players’
Clubhouse, Coaches Locker Room,
Video Room, Women’s Locker Room,
Coaches Workroom and a full kitchen with dining space for players and staff. In addition, renovations
included a new Weight Room featuring the
latest gym equipment, a newly outfitted Athletic
Training Room, a Hydrotherapy Room with all
new equipment and technology, Medical Exam
Rooms and new office space for the Angels Sports
Performance staff.
The entire facility has also undergone
modernizing design updates, including the
instillation of new lighting, fixtures and furniture
throughout the building.
As part of the advancements, the new
Performance Center feature four updated batting
cages with a full fleet of technological additions to benefit both the pitching and hitting departments. The
Center’s retractable netting system allow the Club options to utilize the space for a variety of needs. The
indoor, climate-controlled center and
newly constructed Weight Room are
set alongside a new 300-foot-long
agility field for easily accessible use by
players, Sports Performance staff and
on-field coaches. After completing the
renovation, the Player Development
Center more than doubled in size, from
a total 22,100 square feet to 46,141
square feet. The developments came
as part of an agreement between the
Angels and the City of Tempe to extend
Tempe Diablo as the Angels Spring
Training home through 2035.
